How can I split an MP3 into left and right speakers

I have a song in MP3 form, which I happen to know the piano is alone in the left speaker. How can I split the MP3 into two sound files, the left speaker input being one and the right speaker input being the other??? Thanks in advance!

I would use virtual DJ (whatever version) and take one channel out with the balance and record one channel, then do same thing with the other chanel.
