heck, yesterday i did a measly 2.8 million, day before 2.3, and today is already at 2.0... whereas but a few weeks ago 1 million was a stretch! go team!

I am praying that I am NIC limited and not connection limited. Second machine is being grumpy, not wanting to boot up and stay stable but then again it had no fan on the heatsink..gotta resolve this sometime later.

Tinkering with my IPCop box today, screwdriver slipped off teh damn HS and... Well lets just say that right now I'm probably running the fastest IPcop box on the planet until I can get another optiplex pizza box from work.

And the best part about that is I can get it for either free or $20, depending on how our IT guy is feeling at the moment.

It took me a while to get all the tweaking down, but I think tomrrow will be a 2 million day for this box =) My happy spot is 65 workers and 20 URL buckets.

I am adding my contribution to the team, using 50% of my current horsepower. As soon as I get a big enuf lead on melymel in Dimes, I apply FULL POWER to MJ12. I'm guessing a week or so ?

P.S. Any MJ12 "Tweaks" I should know about.

very very carefully... but you guys, unlike myself, can recruit new people to your cause, increasing your network capacity endlessly... i'm limited to a 6-7ish mbit line with a poopy router and 2 clients :D
but i'll be damned if i'm about to lie down and get steamrolled ;)
not like #3 is bad, but after having #1 snatched by haltech ages ago, then 2 by moddo, and then finally regaining 2... i don't wanna have to settle for 3 again :D

Excuses excuses =) XSTM welcomes any challenge and faces it head on. I say XS in general should shoot for double what Team Norway is producing in a day, so somewhere around 30-35 million a day? I might be able to crank production to 5 million a day, anyone else think this would be a good goal? By the end of July, 35 Million/day?

by the end of july i should have my family network jumped to a smoothwall rig if i can get it working (i think it might be now, i'm gonna test it tonight when no one else is on the network), in which case i'll be able to fully use my 6ish 7ish mbit line, which should be good for 4m a day

and gomeler, i'd say 1v3 is a pretty darn good excuse for those who aren't haltech ;)

Just put my MacBook on MJ12 for testing purposes, if it is possible to pull decent numbers then whenever I am sleeping it'll be crawling.

lotta dual gigE nic mobos out there, but i suppose you'd prefer PCI/PCI-E(/PCI-X?) dualNICs
also some interesting via mini-itx boards with dual 10/100 nics (10/100 iirc) which could be very useful for router replacement or dedicated MJ12, though they might be a bit weak for MJ12 because of archiving

Yeah I am down two rigs, but I am producing more now than I was with four. It took all day tweaking, but I think I have these two rigs set... Now if comcast can just get me more than 8 megs I'll be set. :D

I plan on coming back someday. Running speakeasy.net's connection on my brothers comp got me 12mb/2mb. Hopefully with that going through the smoothwall rig that is IMPOSSIBLE to get working, I'll be able to do ~3mil or so a day.
