hey guys im looking to do a raid 0 or 1 setup
i do not want to spend much i picked out these hardrives being that they are raid edition
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...N82E16822136009
so my questions:
will my dfi ultra-d work with sata raid?
can you recommend other drives?
should i get these drives?

i happened to see this while searching newegg
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...N82E16822148140
is this supposed to be faster than the norm?
should i forget raid and buy this?

which should i go with being that to buy two 160gb drives costs $171.25 shipped, and buying one 320gb drive costs $117.96 shipped?

If you're going for a RAID 1 setup then i would go with 300GB drives or better (they don't have to RAID Edition drives). If you're going to speed (RAID 0), then i would go with 160GB Seagate (Seagate Barracuda 7200.10).

For getting the RAID to work, you will need to reinstall Windows using Nvidia RAID drives (on the diskette), install both options (when you press F6). But you shouldn't have any problems after that.

i have a few questions
i will be using raid 0 and 1 just to try them out, but mostly raid 0
Seagate does not make a 160gb 7200.10 drive they make a 250gb drive tho

i chose the zzf drives because they have 16mb cache vs 8mb cache
are the drives at zzf brand new or oem?
what drives would you chose if you had $200?

have you heard about the problem with raid, x-fi sound cards, and BF2?
i heard that there is a wierd screeching sound with that combo, in multiple instances
im not sure what to do.... should i buy two 250gb seagates and do raid, or buy a 250gb and a 74gb raptor?
