I have both, I like how at low speeds the Yates sound, but here where its HOT with no AC, I almost like how the Panas have the ability to really get going.

I tried the Yates but it seemed as though they didnt push enough air. Any thoughts?

Yate for winter, Panaflo or Sanyo Denki for Summer :)

I hate my M1A..way too loud for me..

I bought a L1A and M1A to test...considering get Sanyo to test at low voltage to see how the noise is....

I have plenty of Sanyo Denki, if you need one to test I'm more than happy to give you a try out Trice

I like my M1As. You can crank them when you need to, and they undervolt pretty well too.

M1As..even undervolted make too much noise for my ears..the motor noise at 7v sucks

With all of the Panaflos that I've had lately, they sound quite smooth (albeit loud at 12v), but once you undervolt them, they click! Couldn't stand them. Went to the Yate Loons and I'm much happier with them.

Both are nice and each has it's own advantage. Oh, and yates are $10 cheaper each

Well Im having to drop my GPU clocks big time (700/840 now) because it gets so hot in here. I mean I'm almost idling at 45 right now. It sucks, and I dont think the Yates will push enough air to help me.

What's the best powerful (like 80 CFMish) fan that you can undervolt for nice silence?

Sanyo Denki 109CFM can be undervolted to 5V, it's pretty quiet too

Any good? I need somewhere that ships to Canada :/ I want really quiet at low speeds, and can ramp up to high cfm.

They're 70CFM at low DBA

How quiet is pretty quiet at 5v? Theres someone in the FS section selling, and I might buy if they are quiet...

Same here. I tried 3 on my BIX3, and it was way too loud, even @ 7V. And 5V they put out no air.
