Hi,
i just got me an Allendale E6300ES... I oced it on my Bad Axe to 3031mhz (CPU works at 1,275 set in bios.. but the motherboard is at its max... 1333mhz + 30% )

Well heres the score:

OS wasnt tweaked at all!

You cant compare the 1M scores of an Allendale and conroe bacause the whole data @1M fits into the L2 Cache. So far if i had better rams (bought the 2GB MDT Kit for 110€... ) I think i could get even @17sec with the right settings.

So what do you think? :D

That's really good man. What did you pay for the CPU, if I may ask?

Thx :D

Bought it for 240€... at the moment i couldnt have paid less if i bought one in germany. The point is... if this cPU goes to 3031mhz with the lowest settable vcore from the bad axw.. How far could it reach with a board that had enough FSB... ^^

TBH, I am thinking of going budget and getting an Allendale while waiting for Kentsfield or AMD's 4x4.

Me too. The only thing I'm worried about is multi and boards that are too FSB limited...which makes me -consider an E6600 as well.

I'm in exactly the same situation as you are.

Considering that I'm reading boards are topping out at 450 FSB, with a multi of 7, that comes to 3150 MHZ. However, if you had a board that could hit 500 FSB: 3500MHZ. So, ideally, a board that hits 600 FSB is good for an Allendale core.

That said, I am also considering an Conroe simply because of the extra performance the extra cache offers.

hehe would be nice :D

but my Bad Axe needs maximum voltages to reach 433mhz... stock just 405mhz... I think there isnt much to do :(

but I´ll try ;) :D

latest badaxe bios has 50% instead of 30% give it a shot and report back ;)

I´m going to try it tomorrow... it´s too late now ;)

Possible to set less Vcore than 1,275V with the new bios? I think if i can Hit 3031mhz with 1,275v (Couldn´t test with less) i´ll have some nice undervolting for my gaming setting (FSB400 ; E6300 @ 2800mhz ; 2GB MDT 667CL5 @DDR800 4-4-4-8)

Thx ^^

Well not really default.. default is 1,3v ... per bios i can set 1,275v and disable enhance slope... with Vdroop load i have 1,175V... but its stable as a rock with this setting... with that voltage i can even hit 3031mhz ^^

Thats why i am hopin to get any futher at undervolting with the latest bios. Perhaps it has the option to set less Vcore than 1,275v

on the intel roadmap it said that reseller will buy 1000pieces for 209$... i think the retail price will be a little higher.

it is $186 for the E6300 according to other sources :)

I flashed the latest Bios... now i hit the FSB max... (Cpu still @ default vcore... :D )

http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc?id=102945

1st some Am³ ...

Core 2 Duo E6300 @3082mhz
2GB MDT 667CL5 @ DDR660 3-3-3-6
Intel Bad Axe rev 304 @ 440mhz FSB
Sapphire X1800GTO @783/693

http://img297.imageshack.us/img297/3531/am38vt.jpg

think there will be a little more to come... (low latency modding the GFX card ... improve timings of the MDT... things like that ;) )

and PI 1M (my registry is messed up... think new OS would give some better scores but that´s it for the moment...)

Yo buddy, is the FSB maxed out? Or can the chip go further with a little bump in vCore?

Looking forward to tuesday. I'm getting a 6300 ES and P5W DH Deluxe :)

Wow, those MDT RAMs seem to be very good!! I found some MDT 667 CL4 memory, what type of MDT did you use? I'm wondering, because I know they're quite cheap here in germany... :-)

My Bad Axe can do 450fsb with boot 1067, and about 480 @ 1333 (it's crappy performance :( )
Without mods it did 435 and 470

Dinos22, what's the maximum benching freq./voltage of your CPU on air ?

Dinos22, what's the maximum benching freq./voltage of your CPU on air ?
there is no motherboard that can test this CPU

the CPU is still happy with stock vcore at 3.5GHz but the motherboard can't keep up

i have of course gone as far as 1.5v on CPU in small incremets and it made absolutely no difference at all to max FSB/OC
