So I was checking out frozencpu.com and I saw this (http://www.frozencpu.com/ex-wat-75.html). Can you get 6 fans mounted on an unmodified BIX3? Also... if you can't... would it be stupid to have 2 BIX3s in your water-cooling route... positioned one after the other? Thanks for everything!

You can have 3 Fans pulling air, and 3 Fans pushing Air..

Difference youll get is just around 2 - 3 Degrees anyways..

thanks! and any info on having 2 bix3s in the same route? is it stupid to do this, are there any benefits, will a pump not be able to handle 2 bix3s? any info would be appreciated!

what blocks, pump, and what are you cooling?

im thinking of it like this (all of this is only gonna cool an e6600):
DD-D5 > bix3 - 6fans > (another bix3 - 6 fans if its not retarded) > swiftech apogee > e6600 > DD-D5

*edit: I was originally gonna have a pre-pelted swiftech block on it, but then I decided not to... If i add the extra bix3, do you think I'd get noticeably better cooling/performance?

Well..

I think, putting 2 Rad's will seriously affect your Flow...

Maybe you can do this, Pump > Rad > Pump > Cpu > Rad > Graphics...

pump1 > rad > pump2 > rad > cpu > pump1

hows that for cooling?

and if i pelted that... would i be getting any benefits?

Okie, Why do you want 2 Rads and 2 Pumps just to cool 1 CPU?

Your not gonna gain more than 1 - 3 Degrees C from it... :|.

k.. thats why i asked if itd be stupid to do that lol. but... if i did take your suggestion on the graphics cooling how would that setup be?

Also, if i placed a block on the NB after the graphics card, how would the performance gains be?

Sorry for all these questions, but definitely thanks for helping me out

1 triple rad, and one pump...

same temps as 2 rads and 2 pumps prolly

Dont need to be sorry for asking questions :).

We all start somewhere :P.

Anyways..

If you do cool your Gfx Card as well..

Then I would do this..
Provided you want the Dual Rad and Dual pumps...

Pump > Rad > CPU > Pump > Rad > Gfx......

Single Rad and Single Pump..

Pump > Rad > CPU > Gfx > Back to pump...

When cooling 1CPU, 1 chipset, and 2 GPUs 2x 120x3 radiators would be ok (even 1 of them can handle all those blocks).

If youre cooling a CPU block only, it doesnt worth it.

Anyway. I have a friend which is running the Swiftech 2x1200mm raditor plus the Black Ice Xtreme Pro 3x120mm and when adding the new radiator he dropped around 8ºC in idle and almost 10ºC in load.

But keep in mind that adding the wattage of the components.

Processor(70-150)
GPU1 (80-100)
GPU2(80-100)
Chipset

Then you use about 300-400 watts taht you need to drop.

Many 2x120mm radiators support a 400 wattage but when adding another you could have between 800-1000 watts.
When using a peltier this second options could be good. But when youre just using a CPU (even overclocked) 2x120mm radiator should be enough (even for a peltier (226 watts)

Alright. Wow. That helps, a LOT. Thanks @everyone!

I think I'll start with a single rad and pump, then maybe upgrade to a pelt later and throw in another rad and pump.

Seriously though, thanks!!

i have 1 black ice pro 3 with 3x 60cfm fans with the below setup (before it burned) d5 pump tdx block full load 36c cpu 34c gfx with alot of unneccesary tubing

edit: and i dont reccommend using a pelt for 24/7 use. they WILL kill something if it goes wrong
