AMD cool and quiet for overclocking

so AMD Cool and Quiet claims to adjust voltages levels (and cpu fan speed) based on temperatures and load, etc. how would this work for OC'ing? a lot of the time, crank up bus until you hit a wall, then bump the voltage and crank up the bus more. so would using AMD cool and quiet be beneficial for OC'ing or a hinderance?
