Have any idea how long these chips will be available as micron based? Sorry G.Skill tech I sent you a message I coulda just asked here:-p 0605 and 0606 are the same chips just one is may and one is june right, same oc? I might want to just buy these a month ahead of time just in case..doesn't look like ddr2-1000 willl be any cheaper in the next few months..
and this may be the wrong area to post this but for $250 is this probably one of the best kits out there for around the same price?
also running 2.5v for a few years with a fan blowing over it should be ok right? Or is that too much>?
I'd really like to run some decently tight ddr2 1050 timings...would make me :-)
i'd like to know the answers too

it will be avaliable for long time! we are not going to change the chip for this model anymore. 2.5V you need to have a fan on it for good heat spreading. it is rated at DDR2 800, 1050 should do 4-4-3 but not guarantee

What would you say, worst case scenerio, that I would get with 2.5v? Worst case..I saw bachus had some 1140 4-4-4-8 which is pretty outstanding..but worst case scenereo? And 2.5v for a few years with a 120mm fan blowing on it would be ok right??

from g.s. technician..
"Remember our F2-6400PHU2-2GBHZ, F2-5400PHU2-2GBZX
Those was using Elpida IC. however, after May 1st, 06. We decided shift it to Micron D9XXX."
0605 is the using micron D9..(2006 - may)
0604 is not.

worst case scenerio is only 802 and CL4-4-4
in AM2 you can reach higher speed but not for intel
2.5v remember use 120mm fan
or should i say no you void the warranty? :D

i can't give you the answer that i am not sure.......how about i will let you know after i run it for 2 years from now..... :D.. jok, jok
i would say it is not good idea for 2.5v for 2 years non-stop
but 2.2v should be good to run DDR2 1000 already. why you want to use 2.5v for it?
Well i am also looking into these.
My question is for G.S Tech,
I plan to buy these for my new setup which would be somewhat like this,
Asus P5W-DH Deluxe
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600
2GB Gskill DDRII 800 HZ
300GB SATA
X1900XT
What i want to know is that is this kit guranteed to do DDR II 1000 ?
If yes ,at what timings ?
The reason for my asking is,Gskill isnt available in India and hence i will have to ask one of my friends coming down from the US to get it for me.So it is important to me to make a decision keeping these aspects in mind.Mostly i will be ordering from Newegg,so which batch am i likely to get and what chips will these have for sure ?
I hope you answer to my query.:)

DDR2 800 2GBHZ is not guarantee for DDR2 1000, but good chance to run on DDR2 1000 CL4 with 2.3v
