I looked on Areca's homepage and they mention that there is a BIOS bug that will prevent the mobo from "seeing" the ARC1210 if you have 2GB or more memory installed.

I just updated to the 1181 BIOS but I still can't see the RAID card, just wondering if anyone knew about some other BIOS that could get it working with 2GB of RAM.

I had a 1210 on mine for a bit and it booted up fine
I've since taken it out and went back to my BC4852 - need the extra ports
I had 2 x 1GB RAM installed also

Did you happen to have in the PCIex4 or x8 slot? I had to pull out 1GB of RAM to get my system booting...

From the Areca FAQ I get the impression that it doesn't happen to all systems but they don't go into detail why so I'm kinda screwed I guess...

I had it in the middle slot and a X1900XT in the top slot
