Hi people.
i finally got hold of this board locally here.
Temperory build included Celeron D 331 (2.66Ghz prescott ).
Now the issue.
I have changed default boorstrap to 800Mhz. ( CPU runs fine prime stable at 4ghz ).
I am using negative 5% FSB control to run it at 3.8ghz 24x7.
Ram at configuered at 800Mhz in bios.
Its running at 380Mhz @ 4-4-4-15.
The PC is fine, Prime stable ( blend / large FFT / small FFT all tested ok for 4+ hours )
If i shut down pc and power it on in short period it powers on perfectly. But if i leave it off for say more than 1 hour it does not power on.
I need to switch the jumper to config mode, set ram to 533Mhz, shut down pc, put jumper back in normal mode, put ram again to 800mhz and then it boots fine.

Bios is 0908 flashed with bootstrap changed using ITK.
Anyone else having this issue? its really annoying,

its done through ITK, and it does not work in 1181. ITK works properly in 0908.

i tried bios 0908 ITK not working on it either

i changed the SYSTEM BUS FREQUENCY OVERRIDE TO 1067 its in the MAIN tab

and in the chipset config i change the FSB FREQUENCY OVERRIDE to 1067

i flashed the bios.. and it's shows in the bios that "this bios was edited by ITK"

so i flashed it correctly but nothing changes.. i'm still on 800mhz fsb

plz man i'm about to give up:confused:

Jeez, such a silly mistake.:stick: :stick:

What cooling are you using and what temps are you having a cold boot issue? I'm only on VapoLS but I've had no problems with either the 908 or latest bios. Using 975 XBX rev.304 and 6800 step 4

For now its on stock cooler.
Its prescott and i just dont feel like changing stock cooler for it :P
The ambiant temp is near to 30C and humidity is in high 80s.
But i havent had any cold boot issue since i reset the cmos.
these are my current settings.

vcore = 1.4125 in bios.
Load temps around 66C ( its prescott afterall :P )
RAM = Corsair value select DDR2 667 rated 5-5-5-15 @ DDR2 820 (4-4-4-15) @ 2.1v.
Not bad at all for value select to be honest, way better than what i expected. :)

hello im having a similar issue with the cold boot.

I have used ITK to flash it with settings of 800mhz and a negative burn in of 30%.... so that i was sure i would get a boot. ram at 5-5-5-13 ... also to ensure boot.

Then powered off when in in maintance mode.. applied defaults ... saved ... powered off ... replaced jumper and powered on.

It powers up for a second then powers off then powers itself back on again. All fans spin up but g card goes up to max and doesnt come back down and it just sits there.

So left it off over night with power lead out and then this morning works fine. BUT i was only restarting it not turning it off so the board never went off. Had some fun got it up to 3.8ghz then power cut at my house.

Now it is doing the same thing as last night. Can get into maintance mode but wont boot in normal and dont want to leave it another night!

HELP!

just had small 10 min powercut here and it again started doing stupid cold boot thing. Same as yours mupets.

I had to put bios in maintainence mode, go to bios. again select DDR3 533,put ram @ 2.1v save settings. boot in normal mode, go to bios put it back to DDR2 800 and it boots.
This is weird.
I then again intentionally switched off main switch. And left it like that for 5 minutes and again same problem.
As long as power switch is on it will boot. But if power is cut then i have to put the board to 533Mhz.
I dont know why this is happening. I am gona do clean flash and do Debug mod.
I think itk is messing up something.

Well left the power lead out since last post and its back up and running again.

V wierd. Which bios did you edit with ITK funky? Cos im on the latest one from intel 1187 or something along those lines. Was wondering whether it was an issue with ITK and that bios version and whether 908 would work better?

Has anyone tried doing this on a different bios version to me? Did it work?

This board is known to read temperature 10c-15c higher than similarly chipset-based mobo. If you touch the HS, you'll notice it's not as hot as it would seem.
