Hey I just got a new Dell laptop that has a T2500 Yonah in it. The FSB is 166mhz, which is quite low. I read about some guy who had this chip in a MOD motherboard and was able to get it up to 3.0ghz. I have several questions.
1) Does the i945 chipset have a maximum bus speed of 667? Or can it go higher?
2) Is it safe to overclock laptops, or is the heat production too great?
3) Does anyone know how I could overclock this? I emailed the ClockGen guy with information about my system hoping he can make support for it.
4) Any ideas on safe max voltage for this chip?
Current temps range from 25C idle to 40C load.
Oh and do you guys know how I can turn of Intel's speed step or whatever that keeps putting my multiplier down to 6?
