Hi Guys,
After burning up my Opteron 146, i'm looking at flogging all of my AMD gear and purchasing a board that will support the Conroe when it is available.
The Intel Bad Axe board does seem very nice, but what are your thoughts?
BAD AXE - just ordered one for me ... ;)

Having a quick butchers at the forum, i've seen a few posts about it having a limited FSB. Is it going to hinder Conroe overclocking on Water, or does it only really apply to extreme cooling?
I noticed also that it looks like Bad Axe fsb hit the wall at 426-427Mhz. Not a big problem on air or water i think, or should we expect all E6700 to clock above 4.25GHz on WC? For E6600 a 9x426 (3.83GHz) OC could be way over what they will actually do on average. After all it is just a 2.4GHz chip, 60% OC could be an unrealistic expectation :)
Im going with the BadAxe, already ordered one, revision unknown for now so the parts for the Conroe mod (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=99298) are ready and waiting, just in case (those resistors are SMALL! )

I hope rev 304s become more widespread soon. I don't feel like modding a board.

Bad Axe it is then :D
Think i'll order from scan.co.uk as i've heard they are pushing out the 304s now.
I like this board to. But I have one question can you run a 7900gtx in PCIx slot #3 and still get the same speed in SLI...I know I Have to use the 84.5x drivers to enable SLI...And Will my SLI bridge still connect that Iam using on my MSI K8N Diamond plus.. Or should I wait another month or 2 for something else to come out..Really dont want to though..
