Hello,

I currently own a rig that has a badaxe. It is a rev.301. But I didn't care since I planned and am running Pentium D 930 and running it as a media center.

Now, I made a big decision and purchased Chenbro RM414 chassis (I am pretty hardcore when it comes to chassis.). I hope to put Conroe once it is released and I want its motherboard to be Intel's BadAxe. But, as you may have guessed, the problem is that although many sites sell BadAxe, it is hard to know if they are selling rev 304 or else.

If you know any site that can guarantee to ship rev 304, please post links.

Thanks.

You've come to the right place!

;)

Or, you can go by Fry's and see if they have any on the shelf.

Thanks.

I must say, the price's pretty, well very, cheap. 190 dollars, huh. Most sites sell those at around 250 to 300.

Micro Center and Tiger Direct have them for $219 and $199 respectively. Tiger Direct probably doesn't have the 3.04 rev, but MC might. If there's one near your house, you can check to see if they have one in stock.

Notice that the $190 boards that Sneaky is selling are OEM...so no accessories. Since you already have the 3.01 rev and thus probably have the accessories, you probably don't care, but just thought I'd point that out. :)

Ahah ~

TigerDirect has Rev 301. I know because that is where I ordered my BadAxe.
I will check out MicroCenter.

And, yes, I am aware that he is talking about OEM. But it seems I will be 41st one to request one and he needs people in 10s to order the OEM package, which could mean somewhat of a long delay before I could get my hands on that thing, if at all. But then Conroe is approximately a month away. But then ... the chasis cost me nearly one grand. I want her to be filled... even if it's not complete.

I don't think that Sneaky is doing the rev. 304 group buy anymore, now that you can purchase them in retail.

I went to the Microcenter here in Chicago. They had about a dozen rev. 302's, and the clerk said that even if they had newer ones at the distribution ctr., they wouldn't be getting any more in the store soon, since they already had more than enough in stock (just the wrong @#@#* rev!)

If we could do another group buy, I'd be interested in participating, provided that we could get another group of folks quickly...

Does it say the revision on the outside of the box? I might go to Comp USA or Microcenter to see if they have any rev 304

It will indicate whether it's a 304 board on the bar code sticker. Check the last three numbers underneath the first bar code.

Found them at NCIX.com .. but they about $300CND, or 265US.. so i guess not a horrible price, but wow it's an expensive board.

NCIX just received rev 3.04. You better put in comments box that you want rev 3.04 or you might end up getting rev 3.02, which they had/have in stock.

And, yeah, BadAxe is the most expensive desktop motherboard I've seen.
