View Full Version : IBook G3 What to do with it??

I totaly scraped my IBook because the battery dows not work and i don't want to spend the money fixing it and the charger chord need to be repaired because one of the conductors came loose, so it's on my food stand, and it works, but im out of ideas, or i need ideas of what i should do with it?

Yeah its the clam shell one, and i think its 450mHz CPU, and it has 350 or so mb of ram.

Take the LCD display, find an adapter for it (unless this 100% Apple proprietary you should be able to find one... you can for any other laptop monitor) and either use it as a secondary display or mod it into the side of a case of another computer and have it display statistics/virtualizations. It'd be a decent amount of work, but it seems to me it would be a shame to waste a perfectly good screen.

Part it out (hardrive, ram, motherboard w/ cpu, and shell itself) if you have no use that is. I like that idea with the screen into the side of the case though. If you just wanna get rid of it, you could sendd me the ram.
