Hey Guys

I also want to know more about Intel D975XBX2. Should I just wait until Intel D975XBX2 comes out or just go ahead and buy the first Generation Intel D975XBX MOtherboard. If anybody has any information on Intel D975XBX2, I really want to learn more about it. especially what is the due date for Intel D975XBX2 Motherboard.

THX!

P.S. Fusion

Never wait longer than 30 days for something, because sure enough, you'll wait for the BX2 to come out and by then, you'll hear rumors of the BX3, and so on, and so forth. Save your money for presently available purchases, not rumors, concepts or prototypes.

While I would normally agree 100% with what enjoy said.... I think a lot of people are jumping on this "Intel Bad Axe" wagon for the wrong reasons;) IMO when the major manufacturers release their Conroe boards you won't be seeing much talk about the "Bad Axe". It's hot now because it's mostly the only option out for Conroe. I've been sitting on a Conroe 6700 ES for a month waiting on a good board, I'm not going to spend good money on an Intel board then get blown away when all the "good" boards come out :)

...don't get your hopes up for the other boards to spank the Bad Axe.

Bad Axe 2 should have an interesting feature (at first, it may be nothing more than a marketting ploy though). As to whether or not it'll be the first one out with it, who knows--it will definitely be one of the first though.

Bad Axe shows already that it can do serious stability at high FSB, so I don't know why it'll be "blown away". It can be beaten, sure, but hey, it's an "old" board, compared to an "upcoming board" that may have all the new bangs and whistles...

Could you please elaborate on it a little? :)

If you haven’t done so already, you might want to check “The Conroe boards thread” and the link (http://www.vr-zone.com/?i=3703) it contains to VR-Zone regarding the D975XBX2. For further information you might want to check this (http://xbitlabs.com/news/mainboards/display/20060531235452.html) report over at X-bit labs.

Apart from these links I haven’t been able to sniff out more information/reports (in English) about the D975XBX2 that aren’t just repetitions/summaries of the VR-Zone and the X-bit labs reports.

But while you waited for a better board rev 5 conroe came out and yours isn't as fast any more...

You either buy conroe and badaxe now at high prices or you wait for retail and get the ASUS board.

I wonder if it'll allow non extreme edition processors OC'ing ability w/o any type of modifications. I still miss the badaxe's layout a bit, was a perfect match for the case I have, except for the location of the cpu ATX 12v connector, the location on the AW9Dmax is better.
