Abit AL8 and 805 help

well i also sold my amd in a wait for conroe, got the Abit AL8 and 805 intead.

only problem is that when OCing the machine doesnt wanna post above 150 fsb. its ok when i set the cpu strap to 800 but then my ram is running really low, am i missing something?

and do other 945 mobos do that? should i regret that i didnt get the P5LD2

I had AL8 with a D830 a year ago, right now a P5LD2... =( The AL8 is way better than the P5LD2. Anyway, there shud be a DRAM frequency setting on the same Bios page where you have the NB Strap CPU. It is set to "SPD" default, try to choose another multiplier value there. Good luck.
