I am curious how many people actually use their xtreme rig for gaming. I understand that some people overclock as just a hobby and that is cool. But I want to know who all the gamers are and what they play. Personally I play:

It's nice to know there are some people who don't consume all of their time benching :D Tweaked just reminded me that I do play doom coop once and a while. Heck, I even hecked around in the Doom 3 alpha (tell me if I shouldn't talk about this and I will shut up) and got the coop to work on that. Sort of... the game would crash as soon as some one died. Oh well, it was funny.

What kind of pings do you guys get? On dial up, the only game I can play is CS and I get between 220 and 280 (lousy 26.4k connection) and at my friends house I get a 120 on everything.

Whats Planetside??? I'm kinda a closet gamer, I've gotten into some of the more well known games, but don't know much about any of the others. I've been picking up on some of the games talked about here in the forums, trying out the demos and such, but could use a little advice on some more good ones to try. ;) :D

I know exactly what you mean, I zoned on the doom trilogy for well over a year before getting bored and ready for another;) Red alert was another one that I got into for a while.

I think we need to make a support group or something called "gamers annonymous" for our addictions. I might have the worst though. I am actually going to try to get tickets to E3 this year. Have to prove that I am a part of the Electronic entertainment industry, but that won't be hard. With any luck, I could be chillin with guys like John Carmack (I think he is satan incarnate) or CliffyB (Unreal God).

I have loved gaming sinse I was 7. I used to play good old fashion games like Captian Comic (anyone else heard of this game?) and joust on the atari, Donkey Kong on the Colecovision and on to today. In fact, I am heading down to E3 this year to see what is going to be cool and what won't be. Nothing like a big convention of hardware nerds and geeks.

Serious Sam was a fun game. It brought the things from Doom that we don't see anymore like huge hoards of monsters coming at you all at once. You just can't find classic games like that anymore.

IMO, it's the best fps ever created.

What are you talking about?? I love FPS games...its just that they need to release some patches to fix some things and I'm @ familys house right now and playing it on there junky comp and getting wooped :p


If you have a good comp then yes its "pretty damn good" but if you got a lowend comp its sux.

The best combat fighting I have ever experianced online :)

The only games I play are fps types. Stress relief for me...I like blowing stuff up and killing bad guys by the hundreds. It's what keeps me from doing it in RL. :D

Sry, I just think it's a badass game. And I've heard of some low end systems playing it decently. The rig in my sig plays it flawlessly.

Vietcong is all i play, and i agree with smizack in my opinion it rocks. I have gotten board with the weapons and decided to hone my skillz at knife kills. Makes the game challengeing but if you are good at it, it gets you kicked out of servers like a maddog. I just hide watch em run bye and then knife em in the back is that cheating??? LOl i cannot wait to play on my new system in 3 weeks which is rig 1 in my sig should play flawlessly better than smizacks system LOL

I play ut2k3 almost exclusively now. I play a ton of ctf and such. At E3 I got to go up against "fatality", the current world champion of ut deathmatch. While he did beat the pants of me, I was the toughest competion he had all day (or so he said)

(Maybe 'cos they're used to getting away with crashes in other games? Grand Prix 3 teaches you to drive more carefully. :)) I found some of the other missions much more difficult. Great game.
