i'm planning on acquiring a british track-day/sprint racer and frequent a go-kart track with it, but i'm stuck between the SR4 and the XTR2. is the radical or the westfield better around a kart track?

......I like the Radical w/1500cc Suzuki motor........

But style wise, I'd go with the other one, as it looks alot like that Caddilac road car....

I would probably go with the radical, simply because you see so many of them on track and so are well proven, but either would be a fantastic track car.

Not at all. A computer forum is where to discuss the purchase of a car! ;)

Either cars are extremely nice, IMO I would go for the Radical:

They are very serious about racing, but this is extreme systems, not extreme cars/track racing, etc. I think you're asking in the wrong place...

I have driven a Lotus Elise 111S, and believe me, on the road, it's scary, too much, the cars you have mentioned are in a seperate leauge.

£30K plus for a car which has absolutely no comforts, and you're asking for opinions on this website, sorry mate, your in for a scare if you buy one.

Believe me I do not in anyway mean to offend, to anyone, but advice on those monsters can be found in better places.

An 111s is too much on the road? :stick:

An exige maybe, but the elise is a great road car.

Perhaps I worded what I wrote, a bit flakey, what I mean is it's too much for UK roads, 95% of the time, I never drove it to it's full potential. I mean you buy a car like that, because it's fast, and not practical, UK are pretty flooded with speed cameras, etc, that's what I meant when I said "scary"

I dread to think what a radical is like :woot: It's a very serious track car obviously, and IMO asking people about it on a computer forum, indicates to me that maybe he should have a re-think.

That's why you have the AA roadmap!! All the speed cameras are located on it!! Plus you can also get those police laser j..a..m.... i meant garage door openers ;) but i do agree you don't get to drive the elise to it's max on public roads.

On topic, the radical is better in my opinion. I know someone who has both of the cars you metioned, and he likes the radical more.

EDIT: Sorry, just remembered his was the SR6 not SR4, not sure what the difference is tho.

I don't think your looking hard enough for good roads :D

There's millions of b-roads where you can hammer an elise around.

go with the radical. Road & Track did a little write up on it Written by the world famous Gordon Murray (if you like F1 and dont know him you need to go shoot yourself in the face) and they had nothing but admiration for it. SUPER lightweight but a real screamer despite the small engine.

The only way I'd buy a radical if I were racing a radical spec series... outside that anything but the SR9 gets pummeled by cheaper alternatives.
