Yep, I got part of the goods today still missing my 120.3 but anyways.
upong opening the box I learned that the pump comes with a modified top, so it all made sense. I grabbed the barbs and saw something that totally made me laugh. Although the pump has been modified the flow inlets in the plexi are undersize.

Okay, I'll go as far as saying that I get the notion that the pump will perform better with a higher flow top but why maintain the original ID of the pumps original top? Anyways I am so disapointed in this product that I will mic it tonight and bring some drawings to a local machine shop to get things done right. :slapass:

Oh and add this to the fact that I was soaked 93.00 CA for custom fee's on arrival!

insert a useless barb into the inlet, take a drill the same size as the ID of the barb and form the back drill that plexi out.... enough said

Thanks, I don't have it in front of me atm. but looking at the modded top on the image and thinking back at my own I question if the material clearance between the rotor area and the internal inlets. juging by eye I calculate aprox. 1/10" of material, taking into consideration avoiding weakening or collaps I would say safely a 1/16th of safe removal.

This is why I opted to make a new unit.

I also read that larger inlets lower the overall head. Can anyone confirm this in practice? Seems to me that a momentarilly rediced ID in the loop would not produce an increase in max. head as opposed to an entire loop with lesser ID, maybe I'm just looking at it the wrong way.
