My P5P800SE died (mosfet burned up) at only 3.2GHz
now I'm looking for mobo that can give me 3.5-3.6, at least, rock stabile.
Which mobo to look for? asus, GA. MSI????
as I have to get 945/955 mobo I can wait for Conroe

ASUS P5WD2, any one of them excellent boards.
My P5WD2 premium will run my 805 at 4.2ghz PI 1MB stable with water.

My P5P800SE is burned!
now, I'm selling old 5900AGP+DDR1, and switch to DDR2&PCIx, amd unfortunatly can wait Sept to buy Conroe board.
So I have to go to 955x  and be happy if I get 3.8 stabile with D805

budget> 100-150€

P5WD2 vs P5WD2 Premium? Is the same VRM unit or not?

If you really want to save some cash, get the ECS 945P-A v1.1 You could probably find it for less than half of what you are planning to spend and it will easily get you 4.0 rock solid stable. I'm running my D805 on the ECS, with only a TT Big Typhoon and its happy at 3.8 ghz at nearly stock vcore. I haven't even bothered to bump the vcore and shoot for 4.0

I just built an 805D system with an Asus P5ND2-SLi , on newegg for like 89 ~ 94 Dollars I think and I was easily able to oc the processor upto 3.8 ghz ( didnt try harder as the cooling wasn optimal and only have one case fan running for intake with no exhaust. ) But the motherboard ran just fine , without any hitches at all. If you are not interested in going for 4.0 ghz+ then a P5ND2 will work for you just fine. I have heard good things about the P5LD2 as well but cannot comment on it as I have never used it.

yes, rev 304 supports ALL Intel chips (that fit it's socket, of course)

D805+BadAXe 304 then could be really good chioce.
200$ for mobo and wait Kentsfield on it :)

Does anybody know, can I get 30% OC with Badaxe w/o any moding? Or I have to mode the board? I read that Intel has some "difolt OC" something like FSB>30,20,10% is that right?

Asus P5P800 is not a good mobo,I didnt surprised about to burned mosfets..

You can buy Ecs Or asrock...Asrock is asus's referrer producer...Asrocks mobo's quality is lower than asus, but same manufacturer is produce them,so buy an Asrock mobo, they are very cheap. At the moment,in this market, you cant find mobo that supports conroe,of course you can found but every mobo's are i975+ich 7...If you can pay 150Euros for mobo, wait till 2 months and buy a i975+ich 8 chipped mobo...You will like it... İf you cant wait go and buy asrock mobo...

If will buy mobo,I will wait for i975+ich 8 controller mobos,Badaxe is wonderfull mobo, but it is İntel, and Intel mobo's dont have good overclocking potencieal...But asus have it,one or two weeks later,.avalaible i975 chips have Sli support.:) Both sli and crossfire support, its very good advantage for İntel:)

If I didnt burned P5P800SE, I should wait ofcourse, but nowadys I have no PC. :(
I dont know....summer is comming :)
maybe some fresh air would be nice ...go to the nature and forget on mobos for two month :)
as I see 975XBX is (almost) only solution right now. I'll have to make decision next week.
