problem: pauses on start up - fail safe loaded?

when ever i boot my machine, it pauses on the post screen saying:

fail safe settings have been loaded, please check bios cmos settings. press f1 to continue!

what is it thats doing it, and how can i stop it from pauseing here?

i've changed the cmos battery as well, some-one suggested!

i have the an8 fatal1ty sli :)

same thing happened with my MSI board after it had the water cooling "incident"

hehe, wasn't the bios jumper! solved it tho, flashed to teh latest bios!

and now all working fine :)
