pauses on start up - fail safe loaded?

when ever i boot my machine, it pauses on the post screen saying:

fail safe settings have been loaded, please check bios cmos settings. press f1 to continue!

what is it thats doing it, and how can i stop it from pauseing here?

i've changed the cmos battery as well, some-one suggested!

i may be wrong but i got that on my ag8 every time i had it apart (ram change etc,) re-setting cmos always fixed mine...good luck

re-setting the cmos never did a thing! :S

but i did solve it with some help, just flashed to a new bios and hey presto! it worked!
