Hi,
I read a load of reviews about this HDD but i can only find refferences to IDE and SATA II versions while the datasheet says a SATA version is available, do they mean that SATA 1 compatible or SATA 1 only?
If it's any help i'm trin to buy the hd from this sitehttp://www.rueducommerce.fr/info/showdetl.cfm?product_id=373236 and it refers to it as a SATA 1 drive and not a SATA 2.

Thx in advance.

the SATA model supports the SATA 2.5 spec, but will also work with SATA 1.0 and 2.0 controllers.

Thank you for the responses!

I finally thought about looking at the datasheet and only saw 2 models so it's sata 3.0gb/s with backward compatibility (or rather the pin change thing) and IDE.

The link to the other forum was really useful too, good thing i've got an anti-vibration cage in my case.
