Is mixing and matching DDR2 modules still a bad idea on intel boards?

Can i use 2 x 1GB modules of OCZ with 2 x 1 GB modules of GSkill/Corsair/Mushkin? Or is it still not recommended.

If you don't overclock to the max there will be no problem. Intel is not like AMD.

No I do not OC at all.

I know it's blasphemy, but I am a conservative.

if u dont OC i mostly works like a charme. the only negative point is that both sticks take the specs of the slowest stick.
eg: a 4-4-4-12 PC5400 Corsair stick and a 5-5-5-15 PC4200 Kingston stick will make a pc4200 5-5-5-15 Dual Channel
and both sticks most be same size.

You won't have any problems in that case. You won't have a problems if you overclock too.
