DDR2 @ DDR-900, 3-2-2-x with Conroe. ;)

Conr... WHO?! :D

I'm talking about AMD 939-pin... :p:

-ThanksPretty simple with AM2 actually ;)

You can do that with a $350 mobo/cpu combo :p: AM2 > Conroe in mem bandwith. Think 12.5k sandra for high end AM2 CPUs.

Yeah, AM2's are bandwidth monsters. I will be trying tonight with an Opteron 165 @ 3.006GHz (334x9) and 2GB Ballistix @ 300MHz (3-3-3-8) 9:10 divider. Hopefully I can tweak the alphas enough to do it. If not, I may try CPU @ 3.024GHz (336x9) and RAM @ 302MHz (3-3-3-7) 9:10 divider... hopefully I will reach my milestone goal :p:

Think Conroe slaughters AM2.

Not in raw mem bandwidth it doesn't (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showpost.php?p=1481612&postcount=31). Granted, thats about it.

-Thanks3.2GHz single-core Opteron + 2GB UCCC @ DDR580 8-4-4-3.0-1T pulled 8187 / 8133 (http://www.clockmehigh.com/ddr/CE5vsUCCC/Sandra_Everest_UCCC.png). I believe, with dual-core it should be a bit easier.

CPU - Opty 165 @ 3.024 (336x9)
RAM - 2GB Ballistix @ 273 (3-3-3-8-150 div)

got 7768MB...

still trying to get this RAM stable... it has done 306MHz (32M stable) in another rig... hopefully I can get it to 302 (180 div)... i think that would do it

I had a 3.05GHz Opty 146 and some 277MHz 2-2-2 2x512MB action getting over 8k, never got around to running anything other than CH-UTT on that CPU, but I'm sure my TCCD woulda stomped on that

I did 8200 with that:

curious to know,
what program/application need so much memory bandwidth ?

none, I just think it's cool :D

I am upto 7,980MB with the following...

CPU - 3.006 (334x9)
RAM - 300 (3-3-3-8-1T-183div)

I can nearly taste 8,000... just trying to stabilize this crazy RAM and tweak the alphas a little more :p:

I don't understand why the AM2 bandwidth isn't helping like I thought it would.
