i have a new d975xbx rev 304 with p920d
twinmos 533mhz ddr2
and its not posting,, there is no feed to the monitor
and when i remove the all memory sticks there is no beeping sound either

anyone?!?! plz help maybe a bios update can fix this??
the board is the latest revision 304 .

Sounds like a dead motherboard to me. If it's not posting you aren't going to be able to update the BIOS. I would start the RMA process.

mmm maybe its a psu problem??
becouse i have only one 12v plug.. and the boards need 2x12v plugs

maybe this is the problem??

Did you clear the CMOS (remove battery and unplug PSU before you do it) yet? Lots of boards I get need that done before they'll work out of the box.

You can't really clear CMOS on this board, can you?

You can either remove battery or set jumper to config mode

Anyone knows how to get rid of 5A post code?

There is always a way to do it, other wise they'd have to have the board RMA'd every time something got changed in the BIOS that rendered it unbootable. I don't have mine yet so I couldn't tell you what to do but it should be in the manual that comes with the board.

you need both 4 pin 12v. my abit wouldnt boot when i forgot to plug one in after replacing the heatsink

The board comes with 4pin to 8pin adapter, so those PSUs should be fine. I have tried FSP 400W and it worked just fine

The problem I have is that the board won't save my settings when jumper is in config mode and It won't reset them either after taking out battery.

Now If I'll try to RMA Intel will see overclocked settings :D
