I need something that will report the MHz and Cas of the ram, when overclocking and testing the ram from a floppy disc.

all I can find is Memtest 86 version 165, but it doesn't seem to work with this board as its just alittle too old.

any version out there that does work with 975 boards?

Same problem here. Yes, we're talking about Memtest86+.

What are you guys using to test your ram then? I have the same issue with the old 1.65 on my P5W64 and the 'legacy usb off' fix that worked on the Asus A8n boards doesn't seem to work either sadly :(

I prefer using Orthos to test just the cpu, I like to use a dedicated ram checker like memtest :(.

Cheers,

Nick.

anything beyond the amd64 stuff cant reports cas and mhz.
i cant remember if it even works for the AM2 stuff properly.

there is no current version of memtest for skt 775 that reports those values. let me rephrase that. nothing for DDR2 skt 775 mobos
i know it sucks but who really needs it, if you know what your setting in the bios if the test passes ok if it fails lower it.
but i feel for you i have asked, months ago for a 965/975 version that reported these values.
maybe Felix can work on it if he has time, i dont know anyone else who has the knowledge of chipsets and ram timings who can do it.
