Hi i just recently bought a Western Digital 250GB SATA II Hard Drive, and when im formatting it it seems to be formatting extremely slow, about the same speed as an average IDE drive, anyone know what the problem is?

atleast 2hours +, my other sata drive which is a 80GB SATA I drive formats in about 30 seconds

qucik format vs real format.
When you firs receive the drive, you need to make a real one, which always take a long time.
