I was gonna buy one but they have SO many problems and are a PITA to work on.
So I bought my Ramcharger and I love it.

I thought about picking one up once to use as the base for a Lambo kit car project... I abandoned the idea though :(

Anyone ever owned a fiero? That is one tight squeeze for a 90 degree V6 in that little thing....are you sure they didn't put the 2.8 or 3.1 supercharged in it? 3.8 supercharged is a monster.

with the right mods, you can drop an LS1 in it, ive seen it done, yeah we've owned 2, but what we've found though, is that if its not a GT, the engine is junk

The one I was gonna buy had a Northstar in it.

Wow no kidding, the Northstar is NOT a small engine...I can only imagine how much of the car they had to cut out.

You got a link to the car?

that engine really is a monster, it puts out 240 hp, for such a light car that sure will be fun.

If I was in Sask. Id like to take a look at it, too far to travel from the Peg :p:

no pics of it on the net that I know of, and depending on the code/year of the engine it could be anywhere from 180-240hp... I need to get the exact specs on it then i'll know just how tempted I really am :P

If you realy want it , go for it.
If you SC the engine it could make up to 400 horses.

its already supercharged.

$2500 as far as I know, have not been in contact with the owner yet as I only learned of the car from a friend not too long ago.

Yeh, hope you can do most of the work on it yourself, as most shops HATE working on them lol.

They rank right up there along with the Toyota Spyder in temrs of service complications.

scratch that idea. Now that makes sense...60 degree V engine...that is what is supposed to be in there.

Still I would have loved to hear about your test drive if it was a 3.8 SC :D:D

I personally own 3 Fiero's. I have a 85 GT with 50k miles in mint condition, 86GT for parts, and a 87 GT thats got some work done. They are a pain in the ass to work on at times. As far as problematic they arent to bad. I got a 3.1 in my 87 with a few other mods and its pretty quick. The great thing bout the Fiero is its handling. It has a great suspension and good weight distribution. The interior of Fieros is pretty FUGLY. As far as engine swaps you can install a small block up to about 600 ponies on the 5 speeds. You can do the northstar adn a few other engine swaps as well. The Fiero was originally going to be an 8cyl so it does have the room to fit.:toast:

i had a 85 gt. it was a fun little car. a truck t-boned it at 45mph, me and the passenger survived just fine. the car was history, i really enjoyed that car. it never had to many issues. it was my dads since it was made and then mine. we had about 148k miles on it, all it needed was a new exhaust manifold (holes) and everything else was great, i went through back tires almost as fast as i do on my motorcycle.
