Can i uses this mod http://www.laptoplogic.com/resources/detail.php?id=35&PHPSESSID=9b2092425d4612be20f654021c9c01cf with a 1.5ghz celeron m with a 400mhz fsb? Is there a chance that it may damage my laptop even if i do it right.
my laptop has a 855ge chipset, i can overclock it using setfsb, which way is better? I could still volt mod it for setfsb right?

pin mod didnt work kuz of 885 but i raised the voltage to 1.308volts and set fsb`ed it to 1849mhz. Whats safe maximum voltage i could go?

 triple post, there's an edit button.. :p:

Safe voltage for Celery M's is probably about 1.5V on air however as it is in a laptop it's going to be hotter. I would say keep an eye on your cpu temps and slower increase the voltage, when it gets too hot under load then back it off too where it was best. What model celery M is this, is it 90nm or 130nm? :toast:

its a 130nm.

edit: 1.9ghz! @ 1.452 volts next stop 1.5volts, or would 1.516v be safe? Oh and what temps are safe?

hmmm. I raised to 1.5volts but i cant get even 1700mhz before bsod. 1.516 is even worse... Whats wrong? Is higher voltage bad sometimes?

It means
1) your chip is crap
2) your cooling has crapped out

Normally you should get over 2GHz. I have one at home which does 2.05GHz default cooling, default voltage.

How did you increase fsb with a laptop? Got a laptop with i855PM chipset here and I'd be quite interested.

AFAIK, you can't pin mod to 533 MHZ FSB since it's a 855 chipset.
Guess you're running clockgen now, huh?

i used setfsb, there are 3 different versions for the 855. one of them worked for me :)
i might buy a new celery, which is best at ocing?
