We still don't know if this even supports Conroe do we? I remember someone (fcg?) getting one of these boards, and saying it didn't work with his Conroe (or just didn't mention it at all).

Has anyone got any confirmation at all that the PX975X does work with Conroe?

While Albatron is vague about Conroe support by PX975X, the insiders within the company said that the new chip will in fact be supported.

And on the first page of that oc.com.tw page it looks like it is saying a conroe mobo. I can't get to babelfish right now though :\

Hope these will be available in Canada. Don't think I've ever seen any Albatron stuff for sale here.

FCG tried one with his Conroe early on and it did not work with it, but that doesn't mean it won't at some point.

I think he was going to but couldn't end up sourcing one. To my knowledge, nobody has tried it yet.

Ah, I thought I remembered that he did in fact receive one and had no luck. Actually, I think he ran something else in it instead? Maybe not, but I am not even going to attempt to dig through those threads to try to find out :D

What really interests me about this board is that it appears SO similar to the DFI 975X infinity.

Be interesting to see if these are as limited and as such see if DFI are intentionally limiting their infinity board or simply can't program a good enough bios for it.

I wonder if the bios' are interchangeable :p:

Also their P965 board is identical to Biostar P965 Deluxe ;)

So Albatron (judging by bios revision dates and such) are copying DFI/Biostar... hmmm.

So sad Albatron abandoned the original project, it was a very very promissing board:

All solid caps (announced before DFI Venus)
Digital VRM (like new DFIs)
Digital Clock Generation (world's 1st)
Dual ATX connector (WTF!?)
10x SATA2 (4 native + 6port PCIe4x RAID controller)
3x IDE (2x ATA RAID)
Life time warranty (!!!)

Yes indeed. Their original 975X board looked promising.

I was really looking forward to the origional board :fact: , reckon it would have sold well as long as it performed at least 'on par' with the others.
I was also interested in the Foxcon 975 + ICH8R board but can't find any more info on that one either!!

No they are following Intels reference design....I spoke with Albatron this week.

Also the digital boards was dropped due to a key part becoming unavailable...if it showed up again they may release the board.

I wanted that board. 2 ATX connectors is sick.
