I think Windows.net server 2k3 kinda sucked, too buggy right now. I only tried it for a few days though.

Yup, if it doesn't have a service pack from M$ don't use it in a corporate or enterprise environment. :p

ok i see. are the differences compairable to xp pro and xphome or is it more drastic of a difference between the two?

the difference between the 32 bit version and 64 bit version is the 64 bit version requires a 64bit proc to run, 32 runs on normal proc unless you mean whats difference between xp home/pro and .net 2003? .net 2003 more stabled, got loads of server stuff added usual stuff inc. pop 3 and stuff, cant remember from top of head

Gee, I guess that is why we don't put the op sys in our sigs.
I'm sick and tired of calling M$ when I upgrade a CPU, HD, or mobo.
I hate having to activate WinXP and phone home at boot.

I buy a copy of pro a couple weeks ago for my main rig.
Does that mean I won't have to reactivate it when I upg?

You still have to activate Xp pro.

The only one you don't have to is the coporate version. And that one isn't cheap.

im pretty sure you dont have to activate xp pro, at work weve never had to activate any xp pro systems and they are using a standard OEM copy, the OEM and other versions of home need to be activated
