Hello again , im back in the modding feel and this is going to be quite of a manic project

Iv Racked out the old coolermaster s4000 sx1 (extended version) and its time to put pen to paper and work out some plans.

the basic's behind it will be to create a viable gaming machine. combined with the abilty to run as a server for my cisco , network+,ccna etc. The machine is going to be watercooled as per my other mods, most likey with 2 loops (be it 1/2" or 3/8") allowing the added function of running passive the other fact is i want to be able to keep the rack mount function whilst having top mounted rad and rez's.

specs at the moment will consist of..

fx-57
Dfi expert
Sapphire X1900xtx
Bfg Ageia ppu
2gb g.skill hz
creative x-fi
pcp 510
2x 74gig raptors
200gig seagate
2x 250 wd caviars (one for server 2k3 the other for unix or linux)

Watercooling
2xddc ultra
eddy-ek fcx 1800
danger den tdx
danger den maze 4 gpu
alphacool chippy
bip 120.2
pa 120.2
aquero
dual fass-o-matics

So onto the start.

The case :)

Looks great but having the barbs of your rad at the underside might give you a hard time bleeding your system as air can get trapped in the top of your rad.

looking good so far but what does a BFG Physx card do exactly??

fcx 1900 :)

I want this case aswell. The only bad thing about it is that there are only 3 5,25" slots

There is 6 x 5,25" or 3x 5,25" and 5x 3,12"

I got 5 hds in here so there is some decent space. and the bottem rack comes fan cooled as standad :thumb:

well i dint like the placing of the res's with the grill covering the second so i remounted them this morning and moved the aquero down to the bottem slot. as for the grill it was the only one i had lying about. im going to get the silver aquacomputer version. :)

that's a massiv setup you got there. although i wouldn't like to do a flushing - maintenance on that rig, with the dual loop. i love the way a big mastodont of a case allows for a clean setup.

Been having family probs recently hense the project went dorment for a while but iv got a lot of free time now. so i dug out the log and carryed on with the pc today :)

The main job was the pump mounts. the original plan i had was for them both to be mounted verticaly and attached to the bottem removable rack. i gave up on this idea after a few hours of head scratching this morning, if i was to proceed with that idea it would have left one pump with air in the chamber, and cause they would be mounted to the bottem rack it would stop it being removable.

So heres what i came up with that seemed to solve both problems. having the pumps horizontal and keeping the bottem rack removable

The pumps were fixed together with 3mm threaded rod and waterproof epoxy which made a superior join

http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b91/Stealth1911/S4000%20sx1/PICT0217.jpg

http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b91/Stealth1911/S4000%20sx1/PICT0218.jpg

The were then mounted on antivibration washers and and bracket that bolted into the slide rails of the case. allowing the pumps to be both horizontal which solved the air bubble problem and also allowed the bottem rack to remain completly removable.

http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b91/Stealth1911/S4000%20sx1/PICT0220.jpg

I have ordered some more parts to carry on the project but at the moment the pc is running in a semi state and will be worked around but heres a current ghetto pic
