I was thinking bout an accumulator, (there on all my rotarys, i love them, and I just bought 2x on ebay for $2 a pop) so I was wondering, how does the oil get out of the accumulator?

most use a U tube with a small orifice at the bottom that sucks up the oil at a rate the compressor can take in using the vapour pressure to assist

venturi effect. Oil settles at bottom, the above mentioned U tube with hole has suction gas going through at high velocity. So oil do get sucked in and goes back to compressor at measured rate.

search function will find a phrase within a thread as well, not only title I beleive, so, yes, it will work.

And when liquid refrigerant enters, the amount returning to the compressor is too small to do any damage.
