1/4" ID or 3/8" ID SS Hose

Would a 1/4" ID hose cause any problems returning liquid refrigerant to the system.I want something flexible and not cause much problems. So should i get a 1/4" ID hose or a 3/8" one.

Probably would lead to a bit more refrigerant making it to the compressor as a liquid during flooding, if you do use 1/4", get a suction accumulator.

If that is the case i would a SLHX to the loop that will be better.

SLHX can help but i've still seen compressor's take liquid w/ SLHX.
