so this can cover 300w. What does a pair of heavily-OCed X1900XTXs in CF pull again?

Single X1900XTX - about 120W
300W will be more than enough ;)

^ cool. Just didn't know what sort of power draw the heavy-duty systems around here would have.

looking at the 90mv jumps in voltage it and high noise levels it looks like a big gimmick to me...

Might be good for powering TEC's?

how do you guys see it as a dangerous gimmick?
it appears to use chemicon capacitors, which are very high quality.
deffiently seems adequate for what its designed for.

It is not so much as the parts but the theory behind it. a Voltage difference in a graphics card can induce a current which can kill a card.

They've had these for a while, actually. FrozenCPU was flogging them as an auxiliarry PSU to power a high-wattage Pelt. Though this model is obviously beefier than the one they had.

thats if you have a single psu, with split rails trying to compensate for the same cards. as they share some common componets.
this is a completely isolated psu except for the single molex which is only used as a sense.

Be nice if that psu could be adjusted say up to 13.8 volts..

If the PSU Is good Quality, then it should work just fine, 25 Amps for video cards is more than enough for 2 of the highest end cards.

What if you could run it in master/slave mode with an primary PSU, like with... um regular PSUs? That should do the trick methinks.

umm.... thats exactly what is going on. the psu only uses the molex for a sense

If this little gimmick was silent I'd buy it in a blink of the eye, however since it seems to be rather the opposite I would just grab a beefier primary PSU if I need more power.
Hopefully someone will come out with a silent (passive?) "GPU PSU" in the future. Then I'll surely be among the first adopters.
