I'm a CRT fan still but my mom said she would pay a little of the price since it's my b-day soon so I wonder if there's any good enough LCDs for that price. Basicly I want 8ms or better and a sharp picture (text), that's priority #1.

I've had LG CRTs and I always thought they were perfect and gave me very sharp picture compared to some other brands, don't know if that also applies for LCDs too.

Any suggestions? I don't know much about LCDs since I've never bothered with them before.

Thx in advance.

Samsung SyncMaster 730BF 17'' 4ms (http://computing.kelkoo.co.uk/b/a/sbs/114401/14509811.html)

€180,-

The 19" (930BF) is 4ms also but €400,- ...

Samsung owns.

Is the picture sharp on the Samsung monitors... haven't had any Samsung yet. How is it compared to CRTs for example, that's the only prob I have with this current ViewSonic E70FSB CRT monitor... I want sharper image and text. It's not nearly as sharp as my old cheap 100 - 110 euro 17" LG monitor that died.

Found this interesting monitor now http://www.hyundaiq.com/pro_spec_b71a.asp - what do you think? 700:1 sounds good to me since I want sharp image. And the awesome price 199 euro makes it even more interesting.

EDIT: Now I really found what I'm looking for http://nordic.lge.com/fi/prodmodeldetail.do?actType=search&page=1&modelCategoryId=050102&categoryId=050102&parentId=0501&modelCodeDisplay=L1732P-SN&model=5 :toast:

Costs only 255 eur too. There's nothing u can complain about for such price, 4ms, 700:1, DVI+analog, 300 cd/m2, 170/170 H°/V°, 35W :toast:
