Hey all you Neo4 Plat users, new BIOS!!

Fixes

Add safety recover function to revert BIOS into default setting when system unable to boot due to overclocking. To enable the function please press the reset button or power button 3 times.
Update NVMM firmware version
Update Silicon 3114 firmware version.
Update CPU ID.

Issues

Sluggish detection of IDE Devices at POST

The issues are ones that I've found. I noticed it takes a bit longer to post but no biggie, the fixes justify the upgrade. I've flashed it on both my board and my Dad's Neo4 Plat. Works great on both. Flashing off a USB Key/Flash Drive works great. It also seems to have re-calibrated the temperature monitoring too for the CPU, seem's a bit more accurate :).

You can get it here (http://www.msi.com.tw/program/support/download/dld/spt_dld_detail.php?UID=637&kind=1).

Crap & I just had the dang thing flashed while it was in the shop the week before it came out (new bios).... ahhhhhhh

Oh well, might have to do this once more before I get that new CPU...

Thanks for the heads up

No problem. This is for the Neo4 Platinum BTW, I see you have the SLi version.

For the SLi version, you'd want to get THIS (http://www.msi.com.tw/program/support/download/dld/spt_dld_detail.php?UID=641&kind=1) bios.

Version 3.A released 4/11/06 :)

Fixes:

- Support NVIDIA 7900X2 PCI-E VGA card.
- Add safety recover function to revert BIOS into default setting when system unable to boot due to overclocking.
To enable the function please press the reset button or power button 3 times.

Good luck!!

Ahhh, nevermind, thats the one I got, Thought there was a newer one out since the non SLi had a new one as well...

Guess I'm good to go then :D

I rarely stop by MSI to see if there are any new updates for my boards, maybe once a year... as I don't do any major upgrades to my system that often (except a new vid card every 6-9 months...)
