say ive already got 125-150w of load, im thinking it should be around an extra 25w or so... but that is just a complete guess... what do you guys think?

Now thats a good question! *subscribed so I dont forget*
from your wording im guessing you have a system that you plan to mod? if so can i have...
compressor rating: ?
refrigerant: ?
heat exchanger size/type: ?
pressures @ discharge and suction: ?
temps @ condenser inlet and outlet: ?
and ill try and model it and see what i get.

You're asking the wrong question.
A SLHX has a purpose in a system, like any other component.
You don't simply 'throw one in' if it will fit.
Adding an extra load to the system isn't even an issue, the issue is what it will do for your system, and what benifits it will give.
If you're looking to increase subcooling, such as for a TEV/CPEV based metering system, or you're trying to get some experimental high pressure blend to work, or even just trying to increase your capacity and need to get the unused refrigerant to boil off before returning to the compressor.
THOSE are some of the reasons you might need a SLHX.
If you're using a SLHX then it's a good idea to increase your condensor efficiency or size. That will help greatly to assist in reducing the heatload.
So yeah, a few specs on what and why you might need one, as those specs will show if you do, and what changes might be needed to ensure it's addition is effective.

Very good information thank you. I am not in the build process yet, but i am gathering parts and working on my design. It's a captube design, large condensor, 5300btu rotary, r290, chilly 1 block.
I am planning on making a build without a SLHX to get my feet wet, then adding the SLHX to hopefully improve performance.
Like you said though, i need to think on this more, and decide what i am trying to accomplis with it before i go about sizing it.
Thanks!
