I want to build new workstation for physics simulation and I need more than 4GB. I see that Aeneon http://www.aeneon.com/en/products/features.html?memType=DDR2&modType=ubu&density=2048 has very pretty price for 2GB modules. Try anyone use this modules or other Infineon or Kingston modules with intel 955 or 975 chipset. Every experience would be helpfull :)

These are certainly not non-ECC registered.

Are you sure, if it is true than price is really very nice and for 955 and 975 are ECC registered no problem, only find local distributor.

I think you might mix up ECC and registered here. They are different concepts. RAM can have ECC or not and it can be registered or unbuffered, in any combination of those. But RAM that is registered and not ECC is very very rare.

The RAM you linked to looks like non-ECC unbuffered to me.

Yes, this I know, I write my threat little untrue, I thought non-ECC unbuffered (normal memory for desktop usage)
