Is it still possible to call in to Crucial and order the 2GB kit?

According to this post in the 2x1GB thread, eBoy0 claims to have called in to Crucial and they sold him the set. Is this right? I tried calling but it's too late already. I will call tomorrow to find out for sure. Has anyone else called in and was able to purchase the set?

New batch of ballistix, got them straight from Crucial so i have great hopes!


How did you get your ballistix?
Says in the original post, i got them direct from crucial.

IE, he phoned them and asked to purchase from a rep.

Heck there are employees here from EVERY SINGLE MAJOR Computer part or software manufacturer on Earth here.. AMD, Intel, OCZ, Mushkin, G.Skill, Team, Crucial, Seagate, Western Digital, I think we still have one from Maxtor but I haven't heard from or Seen Liz post lately...
If you know how to ask you probably can get Engineering samples or hand picked chips/ram ;)

well if I were you.. I would try to get more Micron -D and sell them off and keep the best set for yourself..
Mostly because Micron -D is hard to find these days.. so it would be a helpful service for XS plus making just $10 on each set could add up to alot..;)

I have a set of -5b f here and these muthas cant even get into windows 150 as of now, me and OPB are working on fixing this as we speak, currently on 3rd bios and still no hhelp :( :slap:

Ah.. Those -F dies are a universal ass to work with.. they take hours and hours of tweaking to get the performance out of them.. in stark contrast with -D

What does 150 mean, HTT?
I found that the best bios for me on my SLI-DR are the 7-02BTA, orange slots.

HTT and FSB are the exact same number.
the only thing that are different are Memory and HTT speeds because of Dividers and Multis
edit: and Micron -D and -F act very different.. infact what helps one sometimes makes things worse for the other...

I know what HTT n FSB means, I was wondering what the 150 stood for... so your sticks wont do stock??:eek:

Probably not.. heck my Micron -F wont do stock.. 133Mhz for first boot :-/
took about two weeks of tweaking to get them to do 270Mhz

From what I can tell, my new sticks(unknown chips... probley pop the HS when PSU arrives) did 255 2.5-2-2-5 @ 2.66v, and from what I can tell easily did 286+ while running dice @ 3-3-3-7 @ 2.72v..

well you could drop the Multi alittle and not have to worry about Popping the IHS..
and If I remember correctly my Team Micron -F was "DDR500" stock...:-/

O it's popped.:) found cpu's true cold abilities that way... -47c in bios.
Just by judging your performances vs mine, I think it's safe to say they're not Micron -F, hope the HS comes off easily...
