ok im having a little problem setting one up, I have 2 computers I need to connect for file sharing and whatnot, one is my laptop connected wireless, and the other is wired, without sounding like a complete noob how do i do this?

Control panel - network setup wizard!! give both computers a name, and make the workgroup name the same on both and ALWAYS reboot after making ANY newtwork setting changes. Also make sure your firewall permits LAN connections from your router (Eg: PERMIT - IP:192.168.1.0 Mask:255.255.255.0)
