I wanted to know the proper way to get a second PSU functional. Is it true that if you use a thick paper clip and jump pins 4 (green wire) and 6(black wire) the second PSU will work correctly as if it was plugged into the mb?
What I want to do is use the second PSU for my x1900xtx only.

why not just get new PSU? Like fortron 700W or Enermax 620W? :-)

because I already have 2 and not looking to spend any money at this time
and want to test a theory to see if having a second PSU just for the x1900xtx yields better oc then with just a single psu. Problem is I don't know the correct procedure to get the 2nd PSU to work correctly.

if you have an old non working psu cut a wire from that and strip it and connect the geen lead to a lower black lead so the wire stays in there. the problem is you'll have to two the power switch on the back of the psu to turn it on or off. if you don't have that switch you'll have to unplug the psu from the wall because it will be on all the time.
Can ya not join the green cable from both and a black line from each, then when one triggers, so will the other?
