Hey I need some advise..

I've mounted a IHS on my T2600, went well, and worked well for some time, untill one morning I couldnt boot, thought it was condens from my mach II, but luckily, it wasnt :D

Got myself a new mobo, Asus sadly, but.. - Booted fine, but after being in bios first time, hell got loose... - it couldnt boot again, I figured something was wrong ON the CPU...

I removed IHS, and ALL the silicone, and now, it works, was perfect contact... However, it seems like the silicone has made it short circut all the time, but still chip survived...

Now, what the heck can I use to mount IHS? - I kind'a wanna use my mach II ;)

How much did you apply? There is nothing to short out if it is only at the cpu and IHS edges. I always used silicone on my a64 chips, besides silicone is supposed be non conductive

Hmm, but needs a HS for my mach II in order to get perfect contact - 2 bolts not 4 :(

Roy, my YDG, can it be RMA'ed at AOpen Europe, or do I need Newegg?
