suprisingly , this ram is Volt. Sensitive.
2.2v~2.5v , 0.1v more brings 10mhz more :p:
at last, reached 2.48v 555mhz 4-4-4-4 pi_1m :D

Hey does anyone know how good the Corsair PC2 8000 UL are, they are stock at 4-4-4-9 timings at 1000mhz 2.1v i think which means devide by two is 500mhz at those timings.
VW really good push on those ram 555 mhz ^__^

My old Corsair 5400UL sticks can do little better with little tighter latencies ;)

They use old Micron D9 BT-37E rev. A chips (rated to 270MHz) :D
Still very nice job with those OCZ PC-8000 sticks, VictorWang! :toast:

Wow Victor, that is WR :) :woot:
What chips are these??
On the aopen, boot with another module, set TRAS to say 14, F10 and exit then off with the power, replace the sticks with the OCZ ones and see if it now boots.
It seems boards are getting very specific about TRAS all of a sudden, some need 12, some need 14 kinda weird.

The OCZ 8000 XTC is the best on the market right now, matched and exceeded the Super Talent.
Some manufactures are using the Infineon 2.5A and that hates voltage but does its rated speed and a lil more. Good for machines that are incapable of reaching 2.2v and higher (Aopen 975x)
The Elpida stuff is fast but lacks timing, great for budget ram and loading up with 1GB modules. Elpida does not play well with other ram. On BP pcb it loves voltage.

I think this OCZ is the best 1G*2 both for daily using and Un-Extremme benchs :D
with only 2.25v , it can do 4-4-3-4 500mhz stable like a rock.
with the same volt. my Micron D9DQT 1G*2 can only 5-3-3-8 500mhz pi_32m

Those appear to be the ideal 1GB sticks you have there. Maybe you should test them seperately to see if one will go higher, which I am sure it will :)

Sorry for the OT, just wanted to mention that I did notice this today. My old Ultra-D (AB0) liked Tras of 1 just fine. This new AD0 hates 1 and prefers 5. Tras makes no sense at all...

Thats very good, have you tried higher Vdimm & tighter timings ?

Don't want to void warranty on my daily clocker. I tried 3-3-3-8 and that is pretty stable, but fails orthos on second set of ram tests. 3-4-3-8 will pass all day and not really a hue difference for real world performance. This is the same modules as the VX TI 8000 and the CellShock German Memory. I assume that the VX TI are the same bins as well since the platinum EL's are no longer available. If you look at the Cell Shock or Look at the VX TI you can keep increasing voltage to get really good results so I assume mine are the same. Still hard to find D9GKX in any modules. I read a post on here that said D9GCT = $6 per IC, D9GMH = $10 per IC, and D9GKX = $17 per IC. Ram prices have just gone through the roof as of lately, but I can guess that these would do much more if you didn't care about warranty :).

My SuperT 800c4 with them can bench 1M superPI @ 550 4-4-4-11 2.3v
I haven't shooted them ,but I have a screen @ 540 same volts and timings
Great 2gigs I love them and I bought them for lil under 300$ for 2gig kit:D

not to be an ass here... but I seem to be missing something.
550 at cas 4-4-4 isnt hard, or even rare.
I've had 3 sets of 2 gig ram that can do this, and none require any crazy volts to do so... infact my Mushkin 6400 can do 1.1 ghz with only 2.0 volts, if I set cas 5-5-5
and my old set of Mushkin redline 8000 did 1150 mhz, cas 4-4-4 daily, and only needed 2.3 volts for it...
I even have a set of Corsair 6400 that granted is only a 1 gig kit, but it does nearly 1.2 ghz, at cas 5-5-5, and only costed me $103 at the time from newegg (the price has gone up signifigantly since I got it :( )
not to rain on the parade, I just dont get the big deal here.
I've seen dozens of people here in the last 6 months running 550+ cas 4...
so I am kinda lost as to why this has a few people claiming it's the best.
what am I missing here?

The original poster felt it was very good back when he started the thread. Now months later some owners are discussing the ic's... not trying to claim it's the best. :)
I am just happy i got these IC's in a kit for under $400

This makes my new ram look rather bad...
Team 6400 3-3-3, cant even do 540 4-4-4 on 2.4v
I know I run 975x though, and it might be very different on a P5B/AM2.
Kunaak makes me feel bad, I wish I got two pairs of those newegg 8000ULs :(
I can at least run 435 3-3-3 :)
