Any owner of D805+P5P800SE? Is this CPU+MOBO good for OCing?
What is the stable speed of D805 on this mobo?
3.4-3.6?

(i can use LC6550G+Zalman7700)

Have done som testing with this combo (and a 9800 Pro).
Now the card is dead/RMA'ed...
Had som high hopes for it, but the card is/was cheap.. and in my opinion not much of a "clocker board".
After all the "hype" I installed my 805D..set VCore to 1.4 (in Bios) and booted straight up at 190x20=3.8Ghz.. Did run SuperPI (35'ish).. and not much more. as the system got unstable as the dual core heated up (then all weird things happened.. as booting with a Bios identifying only one core.. ).
This was with a TT Big Thypoon.. and max laod temps at about 60 (dual prime).
Got this result (http://service.futuremark.com/compare?pcm04=3214063) in PCMark04 @ 3.7Ghz @ 1.45Vcore (Bios).
The board undervolts terrible.. ecpecially during load.. 1.4 in Bios equals 1.35 (real/CPU-Z) which drops to under 1.28 during dual prime..
Got it bench/prime stable @ 3.43 @ 1.35VCore..with the TT Big Thypoon.
Then I installed a MIST watercolling kit.. and yes.. the temps dropped about 5-8 during full load (only a "wimpy" 80mm kit), but the max stable clock dropped to 160x20=3.2.. Tried with 1.5 in BIos.. got a bluscreen (dual prime) "rewarded" with a smell of burnt plastic.. Nevertheless.. the system booted up fine.. I installed a 92mm Zalman fan/bracket to blow at the "unsinked/uncooled" Mosfets.. and got max stabl clock up at 166x20=3.32 @ 1.375VCore..
Then I should exchange my 805D with a "4GHz verified 506".. but the system would not boot. Neither with the 805D back in again... :(
Not a happy experience I would say..
So now a P5WD2-E Premium is on its way.. and the P5P800SE bach to the dealer..

PS.
The 805D is cheap.. yes.. but is probably the worst P4 ever.. in respect to heat/"wattage".. Stock cooler/AC Frezzer "yields" 47-52 idle..and 70-80's load.. With proper cooling and in a good board..I'll say it's cheap fun though... :)

Well I've not used the -SE model but I do know that I only got to 3.75 @ 1.42with my 630 (doing 4.0 now easy on a new board without volts).

@TLS100S I see you say stock cooler/AC Freezer and then say with propercooling it should be good. I am curious as to what you mean... nevermind I'll PM you...

well, in every day life 3.5GHz is real maximum I can get (simply air cooling, normal common PSU etc...)
not bad
