I have been waiting to try one of the celeron D 65nm cpus. From my google search I see that intel had planned on releasing these in Q2. Has anybody spotted these cpus on shelves?
Considering these things will have 512kb L2 and possibly be good clockers they will make nice and cheap folding rig. Hence the inquiry.

I'm thinking of getting one, do you have a reccomendation for a cheap motherboard that can overclock this chip well? Also, what RAM is suggestable, since it runs at 533mhz FSB by default I was thinking of just getting a gig of DDR2-667 value RAM, so I don't really have to worry about overclocking the RAM. Is that a reasonable idea?

P5LD2 is okay though some people have trouble tuning it. And Value ram = okay. You would definitly be better with 667 as you have more room for fooling around with the FSB.

yeap
Intel plans to add new 65nm processors to its single-core Celeron D CPU line, whose core will shift from the current 90nm Prescott to the 65nm Cedar Mill, according to sources at motherboard makers. The Cedar Mill-based Celeron D352 and D356 processors, which feature respective core speeds of 3.2 and 3.33GHz and 512K in L2 cache memory, will be first introduced in the market by the end of the second quarter, indicated the sources.
