So After getting 2 Gigs of OCZ Platinum for X-mas and having it crash my Old Nforce2 MB constantly I was informed that the memory was not compatable with NF2 Motherboards.

Since I was thinking about upgrading I decided it was time and I forked out about 2,000 for my current machine.

Well it seemed like the memory was working but I was getting random reboots about once or twice a week.

Ran memtest86 and well, I got a bunch of failed sectors.

So what should I do now? Just buy some better memory? it's been months since I had a stable PC and I'm tired of dickin around with this BS at this point..

Can someone recomend my next course of action? Is OCZ not compatable with my DFI Expert or some other nonsense?

Which NF2 MB and which OCZ RAM?

All I ever used in my Abit NF2 board was OCZ.

It is completely compatable.. it just requires you to mess with the Bios.. sadly that is true for all memory on DFI boards..

ok one stick failed memtest and the other passes fine. I just recieved 2 replacement sticks and they are Rev 2 and both are working correctly. I even upped the speed to 420 mhz at stock voltage and they are both passing memtest!

I wonder what the difference between rev 1 and rev 2 is other than my new sticks work.

No you didn't :stick:Sure he did....210 x 2 = 420MHz on the ram.

That is effective.. technically it is just 210Mhz, But then again it is just arguing in semantics...

Stop nit picking , Mr Post Jokey. You know what he meant, but you just had to post.
