Your laptop uses DDR1.. that auction is DDR2. If you bought your laptop brand new and it wasn't a 'super budget' type, then PC2700 is probably the fastest you can upgrade it to. I would look up that model on the companies website and see what they say.
If you are using 512MB in your lapper, then simply upgrading to 1GB PC2700 would make a bigger difference than going from PC2700 to PC3200.

I got the laptop cheap (broken, woulden`t power on) fixed it and put a 1.8ghz dothan (oced to 2ghz) in it and a gig of pc2700 ram. I would like to game on it so i would like fast ram because the onboard video uses system ram. Im kind of a noob to ram for some reason...

The spec sheet (http://www.acer.co.in/products/notebooks/TM2300.pdf) for that model doesn't really give much info, but it looks like the best you are going to do is 2 * 512MB PC2700. Chances are you will have a hard time gaming on that, unless you are playing older games. Nothing can get much worse than onboard video.

Oh damn. That spec sheet, even though it's filename is correct, the information in it isn't. A 9700 PRO is leaps and bounds above integrated.
I'd run EVEREST on your PC and run a report. Maybe you can get some motherboard information you could Google to see what it's capable of.

Awww crap... it is not a 9700. This is what everest said:
Display:
Video Adapter Intel(R) 82852/82855 GM/GME Graphics Controller (64 MB)
Video Adapter Intel(R) 82852/82855 GM/GME Graphics Controller (64 MB)
3D Accelerator Intel Extreme Graphics 2
Is this a piece of crap? I dont know why hl2 runs so good...

Neither do I :D
How much system ram do you have? I assume you have 512MB because I can't see them giving you a system with WinXP running on 192MB.
And.. if HL2 runs so good, why exactly do you want to upgrade your ram?

HL2 settings have to be bottom of barrel to run that good..
