I have the HTIB YHT-160. I got it for around $200.00 through my works so I couldn't pass. I love the sound for the $, I have it connected to a toshiba plasma. the sound I am very pleased with but I think the front speakers could sound better. I was wondering what you guys suggest for good front 5.1 home theatre speakers. the ones I have know it gets distorted at high volume. Also I like the center speaker but am wondering if that would also be worth the upgrade.

Onkyo S-780. (7.1)
Or any of the Kef lineup.
Home theatre is my thing.
So if you have any questions fire me a pm or an im and I can walk you through any thing you need.

IMHO mixing speakers types is a very bad idea. It always sounds awful. You get so many effects... off phase effects, non-harmonizing effects, a resulting increase in null zones... the list goes on and on.
Edit: That being said, if you're looking to replace all the speakers... you could be happy with a set of Klipsch Cinema speakers. They were designed for the home theater market. Personally, I'm not a fan of Onkyo speakers... their receivers - yes... speakers - no.

i would reccomend any of the polk audio reference lsi speakers, or the swans that you can pick up on newegg. both are great speakers.
